On the most recent episode of her digital broadcast Let’s Not Mince Words, Shannen Doherty plunked down with previous Enchanted costar Holly Marie Brushes and uncovered that she didn’t leave the show of her own volition, but instead claimed that she was terminated after Alyssa Milano compromised creation with a claim on the off chance that the entertainer wasn’t started the series.
“The account that I ‘quit’ was allocated to me by others,” Doherty said. “I didn’t dole out it to myself. I believe I’m by then in my life where I would rather not continue to lie about it, and I would rather not continue lying about something that implied unquestionably the world to me, something that I cherished doing. I adored going to that work. I adored individuals that I worked with.”
Doherty later noticed that her delegates supported the story that she chose to leave the show as opposed to being driven out. “I recollect them taking a gander at me at that point and said, ‘No, no, no, your profession will not endure another terminating [after the Beverly Slopes, 90210 exit], so we’re about to say that you decided to leave.”
During their discussion, Brushes point by point what she reviewed from Doherty’s leave, imparting that during a gathering with maker Jonathan Levin, she says he affirmed that Milano had given a final offer. “[He said], ‘We were informed that it’s her or me. As per Brushes, Milano’s intentions to make a lawful move “wouldn’t fucking fly” by the present norms. “There were no on-set fights, there were not even unforgiving words traded. It was all in the background,” she said. “It was nothing that any of our co-stars or anybody [on set] took note.”
Doherty added, “I easily forget being malicious toward [Milano] on set. I recollect an episode that I coordinated where she accomplished something on the Christmas break, and they requested that I work around certain things with her and I could never have been more kind and understanding.”
